A trip to Jersey
Recently I flew to Jersey with a friend to deliver a day-and-a-half of creativity and business workshops for local students with our business Kickstart Creative.
After staying in a hotel the night before we were up bright and early to take on the day and deliver the best workshop we could. Just look at the venue we had to work with when we arrived!
I know, the place is a state isn’t it?
Needless to say the following day-and-a-half passed as one fun-filled blur. We had two different workshops planned, one that took the students through the entire process of commercialising an idea, and one that taught them the importance of several key skills in running your own business or being enterprising within other companies.
After the workshops were complete (and even after the first day) we had teachers getting in touch with us and passing on the kind words the students’ parent had said about the activities we ran. We even started talking about another workshop later in the year.
It was all over too soon and before we knew it it was time for us to head back to the mainland.
Well almost… we managed to fit in a little bit of sightseeing and a lunch in the sun before our flight!
All in all a great trip and one that I hope we’ll be repeating sometime very soon.
